Charlie Ingram is the Minister and Team Leader at BGBC. He was born in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, where he attended Pates Grammar School and Charlton Kings Baptist Church, where he came to faith aged 11.

He has a degree in Music Technology and has been a professional musician with the Christian folk rock band, Eden Burning. He has worked as a freelance professional sound engineer and for Dolby Laboratories in the Technology Marketing department.

Charlie left Dolby Laboratories in 2001 and attended Spurgeon’s College where he trained as a Baptist Minister and completed a Masters Degree in Theology.

From 2004 to 2007 Charlie was ‘Priest in Charge’ of Holy Spirit Church on the now demolished Ferrier Estate in Kidbrooke, S.E. London. In 2007 he moved to Sevenoaks, first as Assistant, then, Associate Minister at BGBC.

In July 2015 Charlie accepted the call to take over the role of Senior Minister and Team Leader at BGBC.

Charlie is passionate about the use of the Arts in Worship and Christian Education – helping individuals make sense of the Christian Faith in the contemporary world.

Theologically, you are likely to find Charlie reading Christian authors such as: Rob Bell, Brian McLaren, and Dave Tomlinson.

He is currently studying for a Doctorate in Theology and Ministry at Durham University.

In his spare time Charlie can often be seen swimming, cycling or running and has completed four Ironman Triathlons and numerous half-ironman races.

He is married to Sarah and has four children.
